Long Awaited House Pictures

I found where Adam has been hiding the pictures of our house exterior, so here they are.

Front:

Back:

This sad little tree is no longer there. It tried so hard to come back, but alas it was not meant for our climate and we put it out of its misery.

I love having Adam home for the summer, but it does mean sharing computer time. So, I will have to update you on all the excitement and foibles of my fabulous Mommy Vacation '07 at another time. Also still to come - pictures of house interior.

Tres cool!! Your very own house. I love brick. It looks beautiful. Looks like I'm going to have to make a trip that way ...

BTW ... could you remind me exactly when you'll be in my neck of the woods? All I remember is July. :o) The brain is a bit muddled as of late!

Hooray! A post from Christin. I have missed you, friend. And your house is so cute -- what a yard you have in front and back! I personally like the little walkway leading all the way from the sidewalk up to the front door.

Definitely looking forward to hearing about your trip sometime soon!

Kirsten - Thanks. I love brick, too. Most everything around here is brick due to the exremes in weather. You will definitely have to make a trip this way! You are welcome anytime. I am still thinking we need to have an ABClub reunion sometime. We could make a tradition of meeting in different states. I will email you with the details of our upcoming trip.

Christianne - Thanks. I have missed you, too. I am looking forward to catching up with you and everyone, yet again. Gosh, I am so inconsistent these days. I love the sidewalk, too. I also love the long driveway and having the garage in the back of the house. The yard was a definite attraction, as it requires very little upkeep. I love having a beautiful yard, but I do not enjoy getting out in the heat to make it beautiful. Although, I have to admit, I am really wanting to plant a vegetable garden. I think the benefits of it will be worth the hot, sweaty labor.

wow...your yard isn't as big as your parents, but it's a lot bigger than Jeff & Cynthia's. Very nice!

Lisa - Jeff and Cynthia have moved since last you saw. Their yard is bigger than ours. We didn't want a big yard to keep up with. Luke can always go down the street to Pop and Granny's if he needs a big yard. But hey, we have the best climbing trees. =)

Was't meaning any kind of competition...I just remembered their back yard being pretty darn small. I'm glad they moved...they needed more room!! =]

And you know I'm climbing that tree sometime!

Lisa, you are always welcome to come climb our trees. Competition? What competition? My family would never be competitive. =) Well, at least we are not competitive about our houses. Although they are very different, they suit each of us.

What a beautiful home! We bought our first home a few years ago here in the LA area, but we've often listened with longing hearts about the kind of space and the kind of trees-in-the-yard that money will buy in other parts of the country like Texas (my husband Daniel worked for a company that was HQ'd in Texas so he knew a lot of people who live there). Sigh.
